Below are the current road condition alerts on provincially maintained highways in Southeastern British Columbia. This area covers the Porthill / Rykerts, and Eastport / Kingsgate border crossings in Idaho, and Roosville / Grasmere in Montana. This can be a very long list in the winter months.

This real-time list is provided by the Province of British Columbia and shows road conditions, traffic incidents, events, and major construction that impact the provincial roadways. We have a separate page for road conditions in Idaho.

Highway 1 Both directions Parks Canada is undertaking roadway rehabilitation and slope stabilization work in Glacier National Park on a 10 km section of highway from the East Boundary to Beaver Bridge, June 26 - late October, Monday - Saturday from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. Expect speed reductions to 50 km/hour, and delays up to 20 minutes. Highway 1 Both directions Parks Canada is undertaking paving rehabilitation in Yoho National Park, located 10 km east of the park boundary, from June 25 - 29, 6 a.m. - 10 p.m. daily. Highway 1 Both directions Rock slope re-profiling in Yoho National Park, 16 km west of Field, 24 hours per day/7 days per week until June 30. Expect intermittent delays of up to 20 minutes. Longer closures of up to 60 minutes for rock blasting will be posted in advance. Reduced speed zone in effect. Be prepared to stop. Highway 93 Both directions Parks Canada is undertaking road safety improvements on Highway 93S, from 2 km south of Marble Canyon to 3 km north of Vermillion Crossing (14 km), from May 23 - July 15. Highway 1 Both directions Intermittent asphalt Paving west of Revelstoke for 28 kilometres from 19 Mile Overhead to Hwy 23 Intersection, 5:00 am to 7:00 pm Mon-Sat through Jun 28. The road will be reduced to single lane alternating traffic and a 50km/hr speed daytime speed zone is in effect. Please obey all signs, watch for grooved pavement and flag people in the work zone. Highway 1 Both directions Parks Canada is installing LED lights in Lens snowshed, 4 km east of Rogers Pass Summit in Glacier National Park from June 14 through October 13. Working hours 7:00 am to 5:30 pm Mon-Thurs. Expect traffic pattern change and 30km/hr. speed zone with occasional delays up to 20 minutes. Obey traffic control personnel and be prepared to stop. Highway 1 Both directions Parks Canada is twinning 6 km of highway, from the BC/Alberta border extending 6 km westward. Working hours 6 am to 9 pm, seven days a week, from April 18 until September 23, 2017. Speed reduced to 60 km/h in work zones and 50 km/h on paved detours. Expect delays of up to 20 minutes. Highway 3 Both directions Highway Widening and Paving 3 km east of Jaffray 7:00 am to 7:00 pm Mon-Sat through Aug 31. The road is reduced to single lane alternating traffic with possible delays up to 10 minutes. Please reduce speed to 50 km/hr during construction hours 70 km/hr during non working hours.
