Winter Travel Advisory Information for the Detroit Area
Winter roadway conditions for routes around the Detroit Windsor Tunnel and the Ambassador Bridge border crossings are shown below. This list covers the main freeway and state roadways in the State of Michigan. These roadways are the first to be cleared during inclement winter weather. It is unusual for conditions on rural and county roads to be better than those listed in this advisory.
This information is provided by the Michigan State Police from late November or early December through March 30th. It is updated twice a day or as information concerning travel conditions is received.
