UPDATE: THE CANADIAN BORDER SERVICES AGENCY NO LONGER PROVIDES PROJECTED WAIT-TIMES. THIS PAGE HAS BEEN RETAINED FOR ARCHIVAL PURPOSES ONLY. PLEASE VISIT THE PAGE FOR THE PORT YOU ARE PLANNING TO USE TO SEE OUR INFORMATION ON WAIT TIMES FOR THAT BORDER CROSSING.
The Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) provides projected wait-times for the largest Canadian ports of entry. These average daily wait time forecasts include the Canadian statutory holidays. The wait times are based on historical data and of course can be impacted by special events, road conditions, and things like whether a holiday creates a long weekend. Use them as a general guide, but apply your own logic to decide if a port could be busier than usual.
When you are ready to leave for the border you should visit the page for the specific border crossing visit you intent to use. These pages have live traffic and road conditions, webcams and other information on your border crossing.
