Construction Delays at the Blue Water Bridge

Construction of new inspection booths by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will likely slow traffic entering the United States at the Blue Water Bridge in Michigan.  Work is expected to be completed around the 4th of July and there will be lane closures and traffic rerouting during this process.

Although the CBP says the work should add only 10 to 15 minutes to the normal border wait time, we are seeing reports of longer delays.  Backups of  an hour and a half are not unusual at this port.

You may want to check the border wait times at the Blue Water Bridge on ezbordercrossing.com before departing on your trip.
