Monticello / Bloomfield Border Crossing – Fletcher Road / Line Road
Important Note: The U.S. Customs and Border Protection has closed the Monticello / Bloomfield Border Crossing because of the low traffic volumes caused by the Covid-19 travel restrictions. Initially, the CBP planed to reopen the Monticello port of entry on Oct. 1, 2021. However with continued border restrictions on non-essential travel, the CBP decided to extend the closure indefinitely and says they will reassess reopening the port in the future.
This is a very quiet border crossing with limited hours and differences between U.S. and Canadian hours of operation. The port handles only about 5 cars per day. The road is blocked with locked gates when the border crossing is closed.
Before heading to the border, be sure to review our pages on preparing for customs and prohibited items.
