Lancaster / Tolstoi Border Crossing – Minnesota Highway 59 / Manitoba Highway 59

Lancaster is a lightly-traveled border crossing that is used mainly by vacationers and local residents. It has limited hours of operation, so travelers wishing to enter into the U.S. when the port is closed should use the Pembina / Emerson, North Dakota port, which is open 24 hours and is located approximately 30 miles west of Lancaster.

• U.S. hours of operation: 8am – 6pm CST, 7 days a week.
• Canadian hours of operation: 8am – 10pm CST, 7 days a week.
• Commercial Services are available only 8am – 5pm, M-F.
• You can confirm that there have been no changes to port hours at the official government websites for the U.S. port of Lancaster and the Canadian port of Tolstoi. Changes to port hours happen infrequently.
