New Sumas NEXUS Lane

A new northbound NEXUS lane opened on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at the Sumas / Abbotsford
border crossing between Washington State and British Columbia. With the installation of a southbound NEXUS lane in May, this port now has NEXUS service in both directions.

The southbound NEXUS lane entering the U.S. is open between the hours of 7am and 7pm, seven days a week, while the Canadian NEXUS hours are 8am to 8pm.

NEXUS service entering Canada is in the farthest left northbound on Washington State Highway 9 as it approaches the customs and border inspection checkpoint.
