Peace Arch Border Crossing Has Reopened

The Peace Arch border crossing in Washington state has reopened following the shooting of a Canadian border patrol officer on Tuesday October 16, 2012.   Traffic is now flowing both northbound and southbound with normal hours of operation.

The port was closed completely on Tuesday October 16th, but traffic heading into the states resumed on Wednesday.   The crossing was shut down as police investigated the shooting in which a Canadian border officer was injured.

Update 10/20/2012

As of Saturday October 20th the port into Canada is still not fully operational and drivers are facing longer than usual delays.
